November 17 (Reuters)-The young stars of "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" said that they did not know they were auditioning for the latest movie in the Ghostbusters series-this is to cover the film with a layer of mystery Part of the color effort.

"For most of the whole process, we didn't know what we were auditioning," said Celeste O'Connor, a classmate who played one of the main roles. "I found out at the last audition that I was like'oh my god.' I was terrified."

"This is a movie we want to make secretly because we want this movie to feel like a Christmas gift you received on Christmas morning," said director Jason Reitman, who learned from his father Ivan Reitman took the rein. -The creator of the original franchise.

A love letter to the original Ghostbusters Egon Spengler and the late actor Harold Ramis. This movie tells the Spengler family-the mother of Kelly Kuhn and her children Phoebe and Trevor. Played by McKenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard-just like them, were evicted and forced to move into Egon’s ghastly house in the Midwest.

With thick black hair and glasses, Grace is reminiscent of Ramis' character, and she said she got inspiration from Ramis and Egon.

"But of course, Phoebe is still Phoebe. She is not Egon like Spengler," Grace said.

Paul Rudd plays Phoebe's teacher and Callie's lover, Mr. Grooberson. Mr. Grooberson is an avid fan of the original Ghostbusters. He was very excited when the ghostbusters' relics were discovered.

For Luther, this is not an easy task. "If you grew up with these things, I can't be calm about it. It's great," he said.

Reitmans hopes that the audience will remain silent on the movie’s spoilers and guest appearances, some of which appear in two scenes on the credits.

"No matter what, the whole movie has something pleasant, you will like it, and you will like it more in subsequent viewings, but we prefer to tell you through the movie instead of telling you in the movie on Twitter or similar. Something. It doesn’t have the sincerity and joy that I think of film effects,” Ivan said.

"Ghostbusters: Afterlife" will be released in cinemas on November 19.
